- 算力 (compute power) is a genuinely hot term in China's AI and data-center economy, which gives the string topical heat over the next 5 years. But by analogy with existing Chinese-script IDN TLDs (.公司, .网络, .在线 and similar), which have seen registrations but very little primary-identity use — Chinese businesses default to ASCII .com/.cn — an IDN suffix in this space is likely to attract speculative and defensive registrations rather than serious brand adoption; that is an analogy, not a measured figure. Input friction for typing han-script suffixes and China's domestic accreditation regime for usable TLDs further dampen end-use, reasoning qualitatively. I place it in the 10-29 band: above 1-9 because the sector is real and some compute vendors could plausibly register, below 30-49 because volume registrations at this scale are unlikely and the brand signal is unproven. Main market uncertainty: whether China's compute-infrastructure policy push creates any state-adjacent or industry-park adoption of a native-script compute namespace, which would move it toward usable-but-limited.
