- Group buying is a real and recognizable commerce category in China, but the transaction layer for it runs through super-app and platform ecosystems (WeChat mini-programs, marketplace apps), not typed web addresses — by analogy, Chinese-script commerce IDNs such as .购物 or .商城 have shown thin registration bases and little visible primary-identity use, and .团购 is a narrower verb-phrase within that same weak pattern. That places it in the 10-29 band: memorable and on-theme for a hot retail behavior, but rarely plausible as a serious primary identity.
